The Gothenburg TOP 8-50 events are informal racketlon competitions for 8-50 participants that take place the last Sunday in every month.
The TOP 8-50 events are quick and very intense. Each participant gets to play three racketlon matches more or less in sequence. As a consequence the event does not take all day; Only Sunday morning is sacrificed. We are out of the sport center before lunch. It is good training and for a true athlete - and, probably, for noone but a true athlete (these are tough events) - it is a good start of the day.
The results from TOP 8-50 are used as a basis for the prestigeous Gothenburg Racketlon RankingList.
TOP 8-50 is primarily meant for all racket players in Gothenburg but we are very happy to accept guests from other places. A maximum of two wild cards will be available each month for excellent racket players from outside Gothenburg. If you are an international visitor to Gothenburg, the heart of international racketlon, your chances to get a wildcard increase. If your name is Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, Fredrik Johnsson, Jens Olsson or Jan-Ove Waldner your wildcard has already been cut out for you. Interested in competing for the title "Best Racket Player in the World"? TOP 8-50 is the informal way for you to find out about your chances ...before the big tournament.
If you are a good racket player but new to racketlon and want to test your ability you will be offered the opportunity to qualify for the main tournament through challenging one of the top fifty players beforehand.
